The Museum is very happy to work with volunteers and grateful for the time and support that they offer the Museum

We are currently looking for Volunteer Gallery Assistants who will play an important role supporting the River & Rowing Museum’s exciting new exhibitions programme. Assisting the Front of House Team they will welcome visitors, provide information related to the exhibitions and help ensure the security of the displays. As a heritage and educational charity, the Museum values the contribution that our volunteers make very highly. We consider volunteering a two-way process. Volunteers are of invaluable help in many areas of Museum life, and in return we can offer a range of fulfilling opportunities.

Volunteers may be students seeking work experience, retired individuals wanting to expand their activities, or anyone who has a few spare hours during which they would like to contribute to the Museum. For more information about current volunteering opportunities at the Museum, please email or phone 01491 415600.
