Henley - Port of Plenty

An exhibition delving into Henley's trading past. Once an important inland port, the town supplied London as it struggled to provide for its rapidly expanding population. Learn about the bargemen, brewers, merchants and landowners who exploited the town's location on the Thames for over 500 years. Discover the fascinating scandals and disputes that resulted as Henley's residents fought to maintain the power and wealth that the river provided.
