Develop knowledge and understanding of the human body and movement in the physical activity and sport of Rowing.
Students will investigate anatomy and physiology, including the cardio-respiratory systems, anaerobic/aerobic exercise and lever systems. They will explore sports psychology and socio-cultural influences within rowing.
2018 Joint Visits with Leander Club
Combine a Museum visit and workshop with a tour of the facilities at the world-famous Leander Club. Home to some of Britain’s most successful rowers with 123 Olympic and 3 Paralympic medals to its credit, Leander Club is the most successful rowing club in the world.
Available February and November 2018, part of the bicentenary outreach programme of Leander Club.
