Activities include:

  • An introduction to the parts of a boat and think about how boats are powered using objects from our handling collection.
  • Make a model sailing boat using prepared materials.
  • A river walk, allowing pupils to observe different boats on the river, beginning at the Museum jetty and walking along the towpath to Hobbs Boatyard.
  • A gallery trail encouraging pupils to become boat detectives.
