Learning activity in the Thames Gallery

Coach parking

We aim to assign space for coaches in our car park - details will be sent with your confirmation of booking. Double-decker buses cannot access the Museum car park due to restricted headroom however additional parking is available nearby in the train station for a fee.

Coats and bags

Coat racks are assigned to each group for coats, bags and lunches (but not valuables).

Lunches

Lunch space will be allocated in the Education Centre, however in good weather children often have lunch outside on the meadow. Space is limited and priority will be given to groups booking courses for whole day visits. There is a self-service hot drinks machine, which takes 50p, 20p, and 10p, but does not give change.

Shop

Please indicate when you book if you would like to visit the shop. No more than 10 children can visit the shop at a time and must be supervised. Alternatively a goodie bag of pencil, eraser and notebook is available at £2. Please order when you book your visit, the cost will be added to your invoice.

What to bring

Please wear suitable footwear and waterproof clothing for courses involving a river walk or fieldwork. Please bring a painting apron for art courses. Pencils, paper, photocopied resources and clipboards are only required for some courses- details will be sent with confirmation of booking.
