Swan Upping Project

The River & Rowing Museum’s Swan Upping project originated from David Barber, The Queen’s Swan Marker, who wanted to celebrate Swan Upping in the Diamond Jubilee year with a workshop and family day. With funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund, The Worshipful Company of Vintners and The Worshipful Company of Dyers, the idea evolved into a set of learning materials to celebrate the traditions and environmental practice of Swan Upping.
