Sir Steve Redgrave visited the Museum, to take part in our HLF funded youth project – ‘Blood, Sweat and Tears: the Olympic Experience’
Led by young people from Henley and the surrounding areas, mentored by students from the University of Reading, the project explores the modern and ancient Olympics and enables young people to learn professional film making techniques. Sir Steve Redgrave was one of several Olympians and Paralympians to be involved with the project. Later in the week the lucky team will be off to meet current World Champion and Leander Club captain Alex Gregory, who is fitting them into his hectic training schedule in the run up to Rio 2016.
The project will culminate in an exhibition at the Museum in the summer – follow us on our Facebook page for more details!
