Statues of Sir Steve Redgrave & Sir Matthew Pinsent in the River & Rowing Museum car park

Why support the Museum ?

The River & Rowing Museum is an independent museum.

This means it receives no funding from central or local government. The museum is also a charity dedicated to increasing learning opportunities at all levels.

Revenue is generated by charging for admission, the membership scheme, fundraising activities, commercial activities such as the shop, terrace café and venue hire, donations by charitable foundations, support from organisations and grants for specific projects from grant giving bodies.

Support from members of the public and organisations are therefore crucial to the Museum’s continued success.
