Object Donation

Detail of the 1948 Olympic Torch in the Schwarzenbach International Rowing gallery

The Museum has been able to grow its collections through the generosity of its many supporters and is always interested in hearing from potential donors.

The Museum invites items for donation in accordance with its Acquisition Policy. Items relating to the Museum's three main themes of the River Thames, rowing and the town of Henley and surrounding areas will be considered to enhance the Museum's current collections.

The collections held by the Museum include artefacts, archival material, photographs, library books, paintings and drawings. You can explore the current collection here

We regret that the Museum will not always be able to accept items offered for donation. This may be because we already have an example of the item, because the item is in need of significant restoration or because we are unable to store the item.

If you wish to donate an object to the Museum please contact the Collections Manager and arrange an appointment for the items to be viewed. Contact Us
