Your local Museum needs you! Could you support us as a Volunteer?

We are growing our invaluable team of volunteers; would you like to join us?

Volunteers enrich the work of the River & Rowing Museum by contributing their skills and time to our diverse programme of exhibitions, events, and a nationally important permanent collection.

Our volunteer opportunities offer engaging experiences with chances to build transferable skills and gain valuable experience within the culture and heritage sector whilst supported by a friendly team. Sometimes these flexible experiences can be about providing a warm and friendly welcome to visitors, whilst other opportunities are also available behind the scenes.

We do not require previous experience of working within museums and welcome people of all abilities. We are growing our volunteer programme and we’d love to hear from you.

Volunteers are eligible for:
• Free admission to the Museum
• 10% discount on admission for up to two friends or family
• 10% discount on children’s workshops and adult lectures
• 10% discount in the Museum shop and café
• Biannual social events
• Invitation to Private Views
• Quarterly Volunteer Newsletter
