Tokyo on Thames Community Indoor Row

Tokyo on Thames is a community sports project that the River & Rowing Museum is organising to celebrate Tokyo 2020 and encourage healthy lifestyle through trying indoor rowing. There are 4 parts to the project:

Training the trainer 29 February, 12 – 5pm:  free Go Row Indoor accredited instructor training from British Rowing for local rowing clubs and fitness professionals (requires at least a Level 2 Coaching Qualification or the equivalent instructors award), awards 5 CPD points.  Be part of a unique and growing fitness programme that will bring benefits to your organisation. Public taster sessions 3 – 17 April:  Go Row Indoor Rowing taster sessions at the Museum, open to all.

Competition 11-12 July: open to young people (12 – 18yrs) and adults (competing separately)

Digital Row: online tracking of workout distances to collectively row from Henley to Tokyo

Recruit a team the competition will include team relays and individual timed events
