
Tokyo on Thames Community Indoor Row
Tokyo on Thames is a community sports project that the River & Rowing Museum is organising to celebrate Tokyo 2020 and encourage a healthy lifestyle through trying indoor rowing. There are 4 parts to the project:
Training the trainer: 11 new instructors have been trained to deliver Go Row Indoor classes.
Public taster sessions 4 – 19 April: Go Row Indoor Rowing taster sessions at the Museum, open to all.
Competition 11-12 July: open to adults on 11 July and young people (12 – 18yrs) on 12 July.
Digital Row: online tracking of workout distances to collectively row from Henley to Tokyo.

Become a sponsor Support the project by sponsoring the training sessions, a competition team, prizes – ask us about the different opportunities.
Recruit a team the competition will include team relays and individual timed events
Challenge yourself upload your workout distance online and buy a bespoke Tokyo on Thames medal
Be a volunteer help the taster sessions and the competition run smoothly
