30 December – IMPORTANT UPDATE:
Regrettably, the WHOLE Museum (including Cafe and Shop) is now CLOSED to visitors until further notice.
We will review the situation on 18 January, the date of the next Tier review, and will reopen in line with government guidance. Please keep checking back here for further updates or sign up to our enews for latest information – including on our events online.
IMPORTANT – Pre-existing ticketholders 21 December 2020 – 4 January 2021: If you are an existing ticketholder for pre-booked visits between 27 December and 4 January, please email firstname.lastname@example.org to rearrange the date of your visit to see Elmer and Friends and/or General Admission. Please bear with us – we will endeavour to be in touch with you to rearrange your visit as soon as we know when it will be possible to reopen the Museum. Alternatively, if you are able, and we realise this won’t always be possible, please do consider gifting the cost of your tickets to the Museum during this challenging time.
Museum tickets during regular opening are as follows:
|Admission Prices||Day Ticket||Annual Pass|
|Senior Citizen (65+)||£8.50||£22.50|
|Art Fund||Free admission|
The Museum is fully accessible and carers are entitled to free admission.
What is Gift Aid?
Gift Aid is a Treasury operated scheme that means registered charities can reclaim the tax already paid on donations made to them. When visiting the Museum it means you can offer to make a donation equivalent to the admission price when purchasing your tickets. If you are a UK tax payer the Museum can claim the tax you have already paid on your donation, all we need is your name and address. These details are only used for the Gift Aid scheme. This means we can claim back 25p in every £1 donated and makes a significant contribution to the running costs of the Museum.
